I have heard submit wolf is the best. I want to buy a new software to submit all my websites to all the search engines. What do you all recommend is the best, affordable way? thanks!
also.. whats up with the sites that have underlined words in the pages text that cause a popup window of info about the word linking to a search engine?
Does that help traffic, I would like to get major traffic, how is it done, and what is it
thanks again for any help!

theres no point submiting to search engines, they find you on thier own.
Those underlined links soud like intelliTXT, It's just an advert.

Sounds like you're in a big hurry to get "major traffic" to your site -- what's the hurry?
The above posts are excellent advice, and I concur with them 100% -- but if you absolutely must purchase site submission software, do a Google search for precisely that.

If you're a Webmaster running a site(s), surely you have thought about "website submission software" ... if not, it's probably a foreign language to you.

First off, is there anyone out there who DOESN'T want major traffic? Come on now. Raise your hands, everyone who doesn't.
Second, submission software is a complete waste of time. A few well-placed backlinks (e.g. in your forum signature) will get you indexed.
Third...purple monkey dishwasher (I don't really have a third.)

Hmm is there such a thing? I sell a formula which makes your stove cook your food. Do you want it? Ohh and it doesn't work if the stove is broke.
Search engine submission is outdated and useless. It will get you nowhere. Become an authority by writing about your knowledge and providing it to the community. Provide resources and tools as linkbait. The links will come by themselves. Forums are an awesome way to get some quick traffic to a good site. Once they see your great site they may link to it.

YOURSELF!
You are the best SEO tool you can have, trust your self and your instincts. SEO can take a while to learn, but their is no magic button program that will get you top rankings. It takes work and lots of it, if you want to hire a professional you should still know a thing or two about SEO so you know if they are giving you everything they say they are.

Yeah they need to clean up
I am a member of nearly any forum that has 'webmaster' or 'seo' in it
Most of them I am registered as Visio but have other names as well. I am under-cover too
Most of them I am inactive at but I get around from time to time.

I don't care what people say about search engine software, there is nothing that beats doing it by hand. Most search engines (like Google) frown heavily on such practices. You took the time to develop the site, take the time to promote it correctly. Read the terms and conditions for Yahoo, MSN, and Google. Sure would be a shame to be banned by spamming the search engines, which in essence it is.

doing it by hand is the best option ever.
google
yahoo
msn
alexa
altavista
and 2-3 more are few top search engines. submit there urself. it will hardly take few seconds per submission
maintain your keywords, content, meta tags, you will automatically ranked higher

besides once the bots know you are there, there is no need to resubmit again anyways.
Don't be impatient, submit and wait.

SEO is more than just submitting to search engines. You don't need software to do it for you. Just submit once to a couple of major engines and explore your other options.
