hell all,
can you discuss on quality back links?. what is exactly quality back link?
I think in search engine point of view quality back link means a BL with good pr and related.
what do you know pls discuss it here and let all be known about it.
and one more quetion, when anyone post the topic on "how to get indexed a new website in search engines"
then everyone says get the quality back link.
My quetion is here if we have a new website with a pr of 0 (zero) then how is it possible to get quality back link if we are doing link exchange compaign and in link exchange no one will give the back link to 0 pr website. and here my knowledge says that there is only one way to get quality link for new website is "paid link".
if you know more pls discuss it here.

If your Site has a PR 0. you can still GET a quality links by focusing on your main content firts...
Because if your site has a quality content, webmasters finds your site to link with them. remember " CONTENT IS KING" no matter your site is PR 0.
Good luck!

as he said, Content is King.. so if you have a PR0 site you can focus on your content first. make it unique and good
quality back links are those links which are related to your site and from sites with good quality or high PR.

it doesn't mean that to have quality backlinks you have to pay...you can find some other sites that doesn't look to your PR alone...they check your content and analyze if your site have a chance or does have something to offer that eventually will help them as much as they help your site...Improve your contents and your link popularity and your site will succeed...and it will help you if you analyze your competitors site and check how they achieve their SERPs right now...

The quality of backlink is measured on the quality of content and this will be the focus of the site . Choose a backlinks with high PR and that will increase traffic.

Hi all, I thought I would chime in....
Page Rank:
Let me start off by saying Pr or Page Rank has no meaning to your spot in and serp at all as angel face said. Page rank is simply a tool in which most SEO companies use to lure people in so they will trust them. When in fact its quite easy to get a high pr fast. But eventually that will come back to haunt you. So BEWARE! Let the page rank take its natural course, do what you can do and let the rest happen. Se my article part 1 here to see what its about more:
http://www.webmaster-talk.com/seo-ta...e-article.html
Back links:
OK back links are basically links, plain old links that someone places on there site to your website! If its a strong link with relevant content to your site google will index them fast! But finding links like that can be very hard for some. I suggest you check out www.linkmetro.com you can get links from relative sites of your business type.
Now once you have lots of back links, the page rank automatically starts to climb as google starts to see its a important website. At that point your page rank can sky rocket if you have enough links. Some great ways to get links relative to your site is to submit articles, do product giveaways on others websites, link exchange like link metro.
Let me know if this helps you out!

Good advice Shannon.
Since I happened to write a post on the signs of a quality link a couple of weeks ago I'll direct you there for most of my thoughts on the question.

qaulity = indexed page that has a PR, which does not have many outbound links.

I think there's a lot more to a quality link than PR and how many outbound links are on that page. If you only see quality in those terms you're missing a lot of quality backlinks.

In terms of quality links, not obviously page rank we know does not matter. But if you get a link on a high pr site, doesnt that mush more weight then a low pr? Simply because they have more links to their website? This seems to work for me, but I could be missing out. Please share your thoughts.

PR is part of the equation. Not the toolbar PR, but the real PR behind the scenes. But the key is it's only part of the equation. I'd sooner have a link from a site related to my topic than worry about page rank.
Would I say a PR9 link is better than a PR0 link? Sure, probably, though I can think of some examples where it wouldn't be. It's not that PR is completely worthless, but rather that people chase after it thinking that it's worth a lot more than it really is.
When you're looking for places to get links from I think it's better to think about the link in terms of real people. If a person on a site sees a link to your site would they be interested and click on that link. If they would then it's probably a good idea to get a link on that site. If they wouldn't be interested then how important is it to have that link.
Now assuming most things are equal between two links, chances are the higher PR link is the better link. My point though is that there are better ways to look at links than in terms of PR.
I want targeted traffic to visit my site. I want traffic that is likely to want my services or products or subscribe to my blog before they even arrive at my site. Links from sites related to my topic can send that kind of traffic. Why would I care what the PR of those sites is. A PR0 site can still send me targeted traffic.
There are many factors in what is a good link other than PR.

Page rank unless faked is a great way to see how the site your getting linked on is doing.

How it's doing at what? I would think a PR 8 site has more links pointing to it than a PR 2 site, but that's not necessarily true. It also doesn't say which site gets more traffic or which site is earning more revenue.
