Getting a new forum off the ground.

I recently started a new forum. I used vbulletin and had a buddy design a great logo for it. My question is, How much SEO can be done with vbulletin. I hae seen scripts for sale, but it appears that engines find the same quality content on forum with it. What are your favorite methods of getting a forum in SERPS and attracting new members. - http://vistahelpforum.com

I don't think just SEO would help you in this moment. I suggest you get some ghost writers and get yourself some tasty content for those long tail of searches. And, join adwords.

Getting any forum going is a hard long proccess, unless there is a need for something specific. A web dev type forum will take years to get going if you dont spend serious advert money.
