how can i bring region specific traffic?

my site is uk based and i want to bring uk traffic on my site.please give me suggestions.

Your must included in UK based specific searches by Google.

Sometimes Google (and others) list you in the region/country where your server is located. So if your hosting company (and servers) are not in the UK that might be your issue.

Try submitting your website url in UK based se's and directories. The list you can find by searching in google.

By submitting from that list in the above url i am sure you will get your needful.

Another good idea is to use local advertising. Like free shirts or pencils kind of thing. That way you know only your target audience will visit your site.

1. Have a domain name with .co.uk
2. Host in uk i mean servers must be in uk.

Kirtan is half-right: 1) OR 2) of the list has to be true in order to receive regionally targeted traffic from a search engine. Either you have to host your site on a UK server OR have a .co.uk domain name, which you don't.

My suggestion to you would be, if you're looking for UK-based traffic, do what Puneet_SEO advised as well as posting to any UK-based discussion boards that pertain to phones (assuming it's the phones site you're promoting). In other words, what you want to do is get yourself exposed as much as possible in places where your target market hangs out.
