I was wondering if in terms of seo this would be a bad thing . basically my site is in php and all the tittle tags are the same on every p[age , i want to be able to generate title tags depeneding on the page i justthought that this might now be a bad idea for s/e's . i need soem sort of trade off as at the momment sometimes the title tags dont match the focus of the page

Search engines wont know how the title tag was generated, And they wont care.

so they will still "see" the title tags related to the page and index them

as long as when you view source it looks like <title>titlle here</title> search engines wont care how it's generated.

Loads of sites generate the title with php, Inluding this forum and practically every site that uses php and a database.

PHP is a server side script Spiders will not see it. script is run and output is server to webpage and spiders. Try clicking view the source on your browser you'll will not see the PHP
