What will $600 to Yahoo buy me?
I see THE top site in my field is listed Yahoo's Directory, but when I search the Yahoo web, they are no where to be found. Appears that their $600 is wasted??

If I pay Yahoo $600 could mine possibly go the same way? Or will it buy me something else like possibly being spidered by other engines?

I thought to get listed in the Yahoo directory it was $299 though I haven't looked in awhile. Yahoo is just one directory like the DMOZ is one directory. It can be a good place to get a link, but it won't be the end all and be all of search engine optimization.

There's a lot you need to do to be found in search engines. You need to optimize your pages for specific keywords, build a site that's easy for spiders to crawl, and continually work on link building for your site. A lsiting in a directory is one part of the link building and A link from Yahoo is probably a very good link, but it's far from being enough on its own.

bear in mind its a possibility to be added in the yahoo directory, your not gauranteed anything. Also if you don't get in you don't get refunded.
