I've been asking around and experimenting with different ways in getting my Web 2.0 properties indexed as quickly as possible. I've tried pingomatic, pingler, backlinks from already indexed sites such as my own and web 2.0 properties. I also hit popular SBM sites like Digg and Backflip.
Yes - they eventually got indexed, but some of them took a few months. A question here - has anyone tried sig links from popular forums/blogs? Will they index web 2.0 properties (or any un-indexed page) quicker?
Search engines follow links. If your link is on a page that gets crawled frequently search engines will find it and your site quicker. The content on forums changes a lot and so the pages get crawled frequently assuming the blog is popular enough to warrant the attention. If you post enough then it's likely your forum signature link will be found fairly quickly.
Of course that doesn't mean you want to spam forums with posts just for a sign link. Odds are you post to at least one popular forum. As long as you post honestly your posts will stay. When you have a new site to promote add it to your sig.
social bookmarking i think is one of the way to get the new site index by search engines,

Well since I am pretty new to this but what I like to ask is does dofollow links affect the indexing of a website? I mean if the link is from dofollow, it gets index faster and if not, it wont..? is it true??

All Links are helpful in terms of making your site popular on the web as well as indexing some links have more value and some less like bookmarking from high traffic sites have more value in terms of quick indexing but signature links still may have a very little impact on this if they crawled by Search engines.
Signature links really helps. In my observation, SE frequently index forum links. So it is one of the best way to gain your quality link. As long as you participate in the community of forums.
