It is best to build one-way links. Key to going up in SERP and stay high up, especially Google is consistent link building. Would not do much good if you quickly build a bunch of links in a short period of time then stop your link building activities.

You are promotiong with good techniques, what is more important when building links is link quality and its relevancy.
