I have a site that ranks very well nationally and for SOuthern California. WE are opening an office in the bay area and I am wondering if I should add a new page with the SF info or add it to our existing area of coverage and Contact Up page?

Which is better fo SEO?

Why not do both? You should have a page dedicated to each area, but if it fits naturally in other areas of your site, you should include it there as well.

Thank you for the advice, a PR release should help with that as well.

Do both and don't forget to produce a press release regarding it to submit to press release submission sites.

It is better to have a separate page for that state. Do not dump lot of contents and confuse the search engines....

I too go with separate page and internal links to it with relevant anchor text. Then as said above press release and perhaps some articles, blog posts, newsletter to existing customers all linking to it.

Yep, create a new page with the info specific to your new branch, then build some links to it.

I suggest you do add new page for that (as far as I know, adding new / fresh content is a factor in ranking well in Google).

You should go for separate page for new state and create some backlinks for that page to. Moreover add its link to your homepage as well to make navigation more easier.

Surely, doing both is the best way to do it. But still need to do some link building as well to make it more effective.
