Black Hat search engine optimization is defined as unethical techniques that are used to get higher search rankings.
It is not recommended but I am finding people are doing it and being said that it is effective for short term. People use black hat tactics to get instant ranking and traffic for particular time period which is the best for their business. For example people are selling such products which are in demand at the time of Christmas so they might use black hat to get high ranking and traffic for short term to get benefit of Christmas days.
Black Hat SEO is something you should take the time to study. I wouldn't dream of using it on a site that I value but its good to know how full-time Black Hats operate and what their tactics are, quite an interesting subject really.
I've spoken with some BHers who turn out upto 50 websites daily (albeit they look terrible and know decent content) but they generated about $10 through each of them before they're vaporised by Google. With such a large portfolio they weren't threatened by Google banning one of their websites, had another 49 still listed and knocking more out by the minute.
I've seen people earn serious money with BH-only techniques but the income just isn't reliable enough for it to be worth anything more than a mild curiousity on my part

What is your opinion about it?
If you need long term business then better to use white hat techniques, or just need those days business( Christmas )only do black hat techniques.
Engaging on Black Hat SEO helps you get more back links and generate more traffic though you'll have higher chances that Google and other search engines will ban your site.
It will be benefited but there will be a Maximum chance of getting Ban on the search engines as Rubsync said on the earlier post I think its the worst way of SEO.
In my opinion, doing black hat SEO is fine if you only want short-term benefits for your website. But as an internet user/researcher, I sometimes find it(websites using BHS) so annoying...

I think one should avoid black hat SEO at all cost. One should concentrate on long term: SEs are becoming smarter everyday. So may be a day will come when no black hat tech will work: then such people will suffer as they had not done white hat SEO which is long term deal.
Why you'll waste time for short term benefits if you can have it in long term? You just need to follow the rules of SEs and exert some efforts in optimizaing your webpages.
