I am Stuck at 8th Position

Hi Guys,

Hope you all are fine. well i am facing a problem from past 1 month. I have a site http://www.iamgoingtocollege.com and i am focusing "Character Education" keyword for this site, From past 1 month i am on Google at 8th position. I have tried every thing, the things i know to improve its position. Can any one help me here, or tell me what should i do to improve its position. i want my site at the top 5.

Assuming the keywords is converting well, just keep up the usual routines - all you need is more links, that's all

Sataying in #8 since one moth is good sign...So no need to worry much.. Top 5 will be high competative.. for getting each promotion has to work hardly .. Check the compitetors what doing.. Check their Bl and try to make more than them.. Also need some time be get promotion.. Any how do not stop........... all the best

You may want to include bold text in your content.

Such as "The Achiever Radio character education program is a simple way to impact an entire campus with very little time investment."

Try that.

Well i am creating many back links if i compare to competitors, BUt still on the same position. Any ways every one is telling me that just do the work and soon you will be at top 5, I think More visits on the "Anchor text" can improve my listing?

Analyze the sites that are in places 5 through 7 and see which sites they are getting links from, how they utilize on-page factors, etc. Replicating some of their tactics and submitting to the same sites they have along with the normal seo activities you are already doing should aid in leaping over the competitors.

Its a suprsingly competative keyword, you do mention character education quite a lot in that small bit of text there, does seem a little bit of overkill there, maybe check out the other competators above you !

I'd probably take a stab at meta-description rather then go off your content to see if that works perhaps?

Not sure I see what you mean, but if you mean whether your links should have relevant anchor text, then yes, they should. However, if you mean whether traffic affects rankings, then no, it doesn't (at least not in google).

Hi,

Have you submitted you sitemap to google webmaster account?

Do you change you title time to time according to your main keywords?

Do you change your site content time to time?

Do your site is well optimized?

Did you check you competitors sites and compare your site with his profile?

Do you concentrate yourself for quality link building with your anchor text?

There are several things which can effects you SERPs, now think about your work and do accordingly.

According to me you should check your competitors profile and work according to competition, i am sure your positions will be better than other competitive sites.

To actually maintain a position as high as 8 is really good already. You have no idea how many others who are struggling too much to even just get to the top 20. But of course, aiming even higher is always good as well.

You just have to be constant on what you are already doing with your seo and just try to add more quality backlinks to provide more effective results.

A month of linkbuilding isn't enough. SEO is supposed to be a continuous process. You need to build more quality links for your site to improve its ranking and outrank its competition.

Ya man, me too have got the same issue, Later I have got more backlinks, specially DOFOLLOW blog comments, Then I have got increment in SERP. So, keep on getting more backlinks.

Try to get more backlink from high PR page, sure it will help you alot...

Content is an important factor in high search engine rankings. Make sure that you have plenty of content throughout your site with your target keywords in the articles.

It’s also worth doing a search for websites similar to yours and taking a look at their articles for ideas. The more content you have the better.
