It still conflicts with what I've found though. I've converted several sites from long string based URL's to "SEO friendly" URL's over the years but have never found any evidence that it increased click throughs despite the content being identical. It's a strange world

I've no doubt that for some sites/scenarios it would make a difference

google recommends use of statics URLs for getting easily indexed and it also makes easy for human who are visiting your site to memorizes.
