Yes i am agree with you but recently i search one site letsnurture.com with out content it is in top 100 for tough key words like SEO India. You just check it out how they take it on that position can you explain it. Thanks...

You can analyze the backlinks of a site by using yahoo site explorer, you can see the actual pages that is linking to a certain site as well as the pages of the site itself. Knowing this can easily give you an idea of what to do next if you are the owner of that site.

IMO and in my past experience, its been on page=20% and offpage = 80%.

I think that off page is more imp as compare to the on page
on page 25%
off page 75%

this is a fact that off page takes much time to b done. Off page needs more dedication but on the other hand we can't deny the importance of On page.
so On page=25%
OFF PAGE=75%

The Onpage and Offpage ,both hv equal importance. Widout one,the other can't be possible...it has no meanings. Both are like 2 sides of a coin. So These 2 r der in SEO. Offpage activities r like directory submissions, social bookmarking, article submissions,blog posting,forum posting, press release,etc...

On Page Optimization = ( 25 %)
Off Page Optimization = (75 %)

These two should go together in order to create better results.

I guess when your just starting better start at On page Optimization at whole 100% then try balancing the 2 when you think you have a quality content, keywords, design and etc.

I'm a new guy here, so read your post, learn from your posts.

For me, I feel that both are equally important. Every small little thing such as page title or even url structure can make a difference.

Both are equally important for a good SEO strategy
