my question is i am in stage of designing new website, so which seo factor i apply so it help me in ranking and traffic and leads.

Did you just ask in another thread you started how to get SEO work??

It would seem to me that either that thread or this one is less than honest.. I'm betting it's the other thread..

why not? he can just bill the client and ask questions here - We'll do the work, he sits back and cash the cheques.

I just charged a client £10k to landscape his back garden, I now need to go and buy a spade, a spirit level, a pair of boots and make friends with lots of groundwrokers, spend £200 getting them drunk, run hypothetical questions by them so I can get real answers - then do the work exactly as they told me – ya

If you get them drunk enough, they might do the work for you...

Good suggestion VM but then I might spend too much money getting them drunk! the idea was for them to tell me so I dont have to spend valuable time and effort learing myself

There are 6 main rules in making a website rank high in all search engines.

1. DO NOT put tables in your site, use div tags etc.
2. Make your site valid XHTML and your CSS also.
3. Must have meta tags (Do a research on this because it is not as easy as it sounds. You cannot repeat a word more than 5 times or put too many characters in the description/title area or you can get penalized for different things such as keyword stuffing or spamming etc.)
4. Must have relevant links linking to your site. The more links the higher you will rank. Links are basically 95% of SEO, if anyone else tells you otherwise they are wrong. (You can start out with directory submissions, article submissions, social bookmarks and blog links.)
5. Most have relevant content with anchor tags using your keywords in different pages.
6. Must have sitemap also for faster search engine visiting and add a robot meta for search engines to visit quicker.



Hope I was able to help, I learned quite a few from browsing the web and reading alot about Matt Cutts.

1. No valid reasoning behind this
2. Not an issue for ranking
3. I'll give you half points on this - need a title tag but everything else you said was nonsense
4. You had me until you said 95% of SEO is links.. Links aren't SEO at all, they are marketing.. Half point.
5. relevant content isn't as much of an issue as anchor text. 1 point
6. Simply wrong. Sitemaps only help the SEs find pages, not a thing to do with ranking. And a well written site with proper navigation doesn't need a sitemap at all..

2/6 - 33% accuracy = failure. You must repeat remedial SEO strategies 101, you haven't earned as much as you think.

And the only thing left is;

add a robot meta for search engines to visit quicker.

There is no such thing.

Also I found using html only coding helps with ranking if you have good content on the site

Nope, but your a bit out of date - It's been depreciated for a while now

So that would make all sites made before CSS became as useable as it is INVISIBLE??

Ok so just to go over this again - If it was all down to links, then anyone could buy in as many links as they could afford, and hey presto - No.1 position - it has so much more to do with that...

I have a site that is page 1 on Google for a higly competative set of key words, and the site only has around 20 backlinks...
