You actually did some REAL research, albeit to prove me wrong but the reason matters little.
What matters is you did not take my statements at face value. Which is a good thing. All you now need to do is to apply exactly the same principle to anything else you hear or read. Don't blindly accept what any "SEO company" is telling you they need to do and when you find conflicting "advice" from "experts" test it for yourself.
So all in all a successful conclusion
