service type websites don't tend to do much except establish a brand. This can be good to bolster your normal advertising campaign.
If you sell textiles, (garments or materials?), in the normal world then the transition to the internet can be seem to be a giant leap into the unknown. By selling your normal products online, as well as in normal channels, you can broaden your customer catchment. This is called Ecommerce (an online shop).
Ecommerce, if done right, with a nice site and some good SEO can succeed in a big way.
It's worth noting here, that most Ecommerce success stories also involve having products that sell - so your products and prices have to be good in the first place.
In my experience it doesn't work very well if you try to make-do with one of those open-source solutions, which are fine for a home-based business, but nothing more. To really make it fly you need a serious solution.
hope this helps
