I don't know how it happened, I had bought this domain earlier this year, set up a forum on it but I didn't promote it one bit and just let it lie there. And I checked it 20 minutes back, and it was PR5

I will admit that the domain name is brilliant, but it had zero back links, so how did this happen?

It seems is fake PR

Some people are going to hate me for this and some will thank me, but this is must read information for all you domain buyers out there.
Recently Ive seen an increase in people selling domains with Pagerank and I am seeing people buying these up like crazy even though the Pagerank is not actually real. The reason why these are selling is because retarded tools are being used that are supposed to detect fake pagerank and are returning results saying “Valid Pagerank”. Now these tools people are trusting to be 100% accurate which they are always not. Also the way they check for fake pagerank is not the best way to do it.
So heres my best advice I can give you if your buying a domain that has Pagerank.
1. Go to Yahoo and type link:site.com, this will return the links that point to that site.
2. Now go to each of the sites listed and search for the link to your site.
3. If you find a site with your link on it, just record the PR of the site.
4. Now do each of the sites and see what you come up with.
Chances are you are not going to like what you see. I have plenty of experience in doing this and I will tell you that almost every domain that you are seeing for sale with PR doesnt have any exsisting backlinks left. Meaning that domains PR is going to drop hard on the next update because all backlinks are gone. These are basically domains that have fake pagerank.
Now the “Fake Pagerank Detection Tools” dont check for this, but it is the most important part of researching the domain.
Please do yourself a favor and check the backlinks manually. If not you will get scammed
