I am considering having a Press Release written and distributed for one of my sites. Looking around, it looks like the cost to have someone do this is around $300-$400 for the complete service of writing and distributing.

I would like to know from those of you who have done this if it is worth the money or not. I already do well in search engine referrals, but if this can further increase my traffic and take me to the next level of success I would like to go ahead and do it.

I have never sent out a Press Release before, so what can I expect from it in terms of results?

Shouldn't pay more than $100 for the article writing. and you can distribute via PRweb the $180 option.

That would be $280, so right in line with a couple places I am looking at to do the entire thing for me.

I've sent out plenty. Anywhere from $100 distribution to $600 distribution fee.

To be honest right around $200 was just as good as any. The part that really counts is the content. Have a bunch of friends read it over before you send it out.

The main thing I am looking for here is a "surge" in traffic.
