Found my niche, and the few people ranking at the top of search listings have +3 font size for the page title. if I use h1 tags will this give me any advantage?

And if the h1 tags are used what about the font size added onto it? plus or minus, does it make a difference to the search engines?

would really like to know.

H1 tags will help a little. However font size doesn't matter.

Style it with css not font tags.

I just read today that you could have <nichename> tags and it will help with ranking.

I highly doubt it has any affect, if any, just increases keyword density i suppose

Not heard of this nichename thing - got any more details as it sounds a bit dodgy to me.

Just wrapping things in <nichename> tags is a bit odd - after all does a niche only have one name or word to describe it - and if you are pumping a laod of keywords into a single <nichename> tag you are likely going to fall foul of the "keyword stuffing" policy

I agree, <nichename> is not going to do anything for you. Just like meta keywords won't do anything for you in google.

It is the first time I've heard about the nichename thing, but the h1 tag will help you with search engine rankings.

Your best bet is the title tag.

Yes, i agree with most of the members above. Header tags will help greatly in SEO but not the font attribute tag..

Make sure your H1 is not the same as your <title>. Just don't do a sitewide change for this at once.

h1 used to give an information to the search engine about your important subject.
