I have a dilemma. I am about to put up another 20 sites. I can either use one of my old domains from 2001, but hasnt been hosted at all, most are .net

OR

I can pick up a new domains, register them ten years, and be good to go. Just wondering what everyone thinks. Will the aged domain give me the boost I need or should I just stick with the new domain and 301 the old domains to the new one?

What does everyone think?

Depends on what site you are looking to start. If you want to have some power in the SE then get the old ones, if you have a way of getting traffic without SE's then use the new .com
