page rank=back links. and i think they just re-indexed everything. page rank is usually after if i'm not mistaking

Pagerank keeps updating almost monthly, or atleast it used to be updated monthly. The google index is being updated all the time. Nowadays you can even get your site in the index within 24 hours.

they just updated backlinks.

PageRank is just a measure of inbound link popularity. this is two times in a row where they have altered the displayed backlinks without showing changing PageRanks.

some people have said they were talking about updating PageRank quarterly. if it is not updated in the next few days maybe that is what is happening.

Follow up question, does PR measured by back links or by the site that link to your site with high PR?

i think its a bit of both, but mostly froma site with a hoigh pr.

I think the backlinks just updated a few days ago!

After 3 months of waiting google finally update PR , and we will wait again for 3 months for the new update
