What is more important for a website:
  • a big number of indexed pages with a low keyword density
  • a small number of indexed pages with high keyword density

I`m asking this because i want to know the best way to manage the articles on a website. Write many and small, or write longer articles, with a high density of keywords...

I think you should use 300 word (at least) articles with medium keyword density

The length of an article and the keyword density are not metrics that are used by any known search engine for ranking purposes, so it will not make any difference. What does make a difference is if you write articles that people will want to read and link to. Easier said than done though....

My site should have:
one big article using 6-7 times one keyword, or 3 small articles with that keyword repeated 2-3 times?

What length (word count) articles are you talking about? Remember to focus more on readability of the articles. If you can put 6-7 times one keyword in an article and it still reads well then go for it. I believe search engines like Google want to rank pages that are usefull to human users. If each article is getting its own page then they should be 500 words plus - thats from my (successful) experience.

Better have different pages with different keyword density. This looks more natural for Google.

few pages with good density
get the keywords in
intro
conclusion
section titles (you can bold/italicize without it looking out of place)
header tags
alt tags (i.e., include appropriate images)

Oh, and hire me .
