I was recommended SEO Elite to do SEO research, has anyone use it and any comment on it?

What other alternatives are there and how they compare?

Isnt this mostly about seeing who links to the top guy for your niche then sending automatic email requests for reciprocal links ? I read seomewhere that sending emails for link requests are mostly ignored these days from those who occupy the top spots in search engines, is this so ?

I need to clarify a bit. Most probably you are talking about one feature of SEO Elite - that is the feature of link building.

Here you are right, sending emails begging for link exchange could work 3 years ago. Now 90% is sent to the trash bin by site admins or webmasters. Because this method is overspammed by people who send irrelevant link offers.

But, jerome2900, there are ways not to send emails. If you are interested, send me PM, I can tell a bit about more effective strategy of finding very responsive link partners in your niche.

But getting back to SEO Elite, link building is just one of its modules, and they did not focus all efforts on this module. SEO Elite is kind of SEO analyzer that helps you to make your site more SEO powered in all aspects - so in these terms SEO Elite is strong. And they could not fail to add link building to it, but much time passed since when they were doing it and link building strategies are not standing still - they improve.

So, sending emails does not work. Well, it works, but the percentage of those who open your email is low. Even if your offer is 100% relevant, you feel like this :taz: after sending few hundred emails with no luck.

And start from (2) - how to find highly responsive site for link building. Or How can you tell that the site welcomes link exchange? If this site has link exchange directory that facilitates this process. So, look for the site that have automated link exchange solutions!

This is the answer to (1) and (3) too. Because the relevancy of sites can be handled via adding your keywords to the search string. And email - they don't need email! They need your site to be relevant, that's all.

Of course, this strategy has serious drawback - you need to fuss a lot with manual jobs like finding the sites, putting your link there, then put their link on your site, etc, etc, etc. But I have a good team of programmers and they automated everything for me.

When I tested the strategy, I was shocked. First link exchanges within half an hour :thumbup: and more and more. And most of the pages with good PR. Check my directory and see that most of the sites that now link to me have nice PR - http://www.autolinkexchanger.com/directory/ - and I wasn't sending any begging email. I just came to the people who waited to exchange links.

So back to SEO elite? Can it really provide the results quoted ie. top rankings in MSN, Yahoo AND Google? And within what sort of time frame?

Essentially, I am asking it is worth forking out the money or can the same thing be done elsewhere at little or no cost?

Hi haven't used SEO elite before but am useing Web CEO. Its a brilliant piece of SEO software that does just about anything you want it to.

I like webCEO, I just don't like the fact you have to constantly keep paying for the updates. I guess I'm cheap.

I think SEO Elite is a good tool. I was doubting the huge effect from link building in it, but it combines everything possible in terms of SEO. Compare it to the advertising prices of complete package of SEO services and I think you will adore the price of $167. my 2cents
