Hi guys i'm about to enter a fairly crowded niche with a new forum. I'm wondering if simply posting lots of articles throughout the forum will help its SEO?

I'm 100% completely a begginner at SEO so I'm not sure if i've understood correctly how it all works.

By posting all these articles, the pages will get picked up by the SE's cause of the keywords. Does that make sense?

This post has made me realise how little I know I think I will go and do some reading :tooth: . Any help would be appreciated though.

well.. check the idea of the long tail of SEO..
I think it works very well. I've got 2 dutch sites which contains a lot of content about very different topics (www.wetenschap-nieuws.nl = science news with hundreds of articles and www.wistudat.net = website with weird facts.. 125 facts about very different topics)
I can see Search Engine hits coming in from a lot of very low volume searches.. but the sum of that is a lot

I'm sure lots of unique content wont hurt your forum

Anyways, you can always install those nice URL mods for forums that give you nice URLs.
