I checked out his website at thesocialmillionaire.com. It's an interesting concept but thinking in terms of SEO is it a good place to buy? His links aren't as SEO as they could be but for $1 I don't see how it could hurt.


What do you guys think? If you guys think it's a good idea I'll buy a couple and share the results here.

First of all, it's a little known fact that "John Chow" is Mandarin for "man who would screw his own mother over for a quarter". The guy is, was, and always will be scum of the earth, and to follow him, even if you do manage to pull off what he does, will come at the expense of others...and that's not worth it.

If people want to know what will kill social networking sites, this is exactly it. This is six shades of ethically wrong.

As far as "SEO as they could be", if you're going to buy a link, buy it for the ROI and forget the mostly mythical SEO benefit. If you think you'll get more than $1 back, go ahead and buy the link. But you know as well as I do that you're not going to get $1 back from the link.

Ummm.... Adam, you're a smart dude. I think you'll realize this John Chow guy, doesn't have much to offer. But about that making backlinks part, there's not much to substantiate those claims on.
