you can experiment and combine the search string, the "dash"
string means that search results with the particular words will
be excluded. So you will find some blogs to post comments on

I'm assuming you think that .edu links give you some kind of SEO boost (they don't). So after wasting your time finding .edu blogs, you have to waste more time weeding out the ones that nofollow their coments links and then you are left with links of negligible value that stand a good chance of being moderated out if you don't invest enough time to make a 'wothwhile' comment.

I think I'll stick to writing good content that other people link to.

Because .EDU is a magic bullet to #1 SEO ranking, gringo! God, EVERYONE knows that. Just ignore the millions of Viagra pages out there and the idea that .EDU links are only valuable from the main sections of a .EDU domain name itself, as it pertains to the institution and as such is more likely to have quality inbound links pointing to it. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TLD.
