I have one site,and site related keywords is Truck Tarp,Trailer Tarp,Mesh Tarp,Steel Tarp, Flatbed Tarp, but its not a high page rank in google so whats a effort in this site to improve in google page rank ?

Also I can not get more back links with this site.
can u provide some related site from which I can get back links

You're confusing concepts. Keywords have nothing whatsoever to do with PageRank. PageRank is Google's measure of the popularity of a page based on the number and quality of inbound links that point to it. So it is a factor.

However, it's not the biggest factor. There are other factors at work too, such as design of the site, how much unique content there is, things like that. Good design is often related to good SEO.

Are you sure? I originally thought the "quality" didn't make any difference at all.

James the quality would be defined by the PageRank of the page providing the link. A PR8 page should pass more PR than a PR2 page. So you would need many links from PR2 pages to equal the one link from a PR8 page.

Ahhhh OK, for some reason I was thinking of "quality" as in relevancy to the site owner and visitors, not the actual PR of the link, thanks

Relevancy does count a bit but is not as heavy a factor as the PR of the page providing the link to your site.

Also, getting caught up in page rank as opposed to content and basic SEO will lead to major frustration.

My little blog with only one or two entries per month has a very low PR. But, in the niche I am in, users searching for nevada hiking reports or nevada wildlife photos will find me easily. Strangely enough, one product review I did also seems to get a lot of action. It is really more about developing good content that will help you gain in the search results. Page rank doesn't hurt but it isn't the largest factor by a long shot.

Quality is more important for SEO than quantity. PR is a Google measure of quantity, but when not manipulated PR usually is a good indicator of quality.

Many web sites have PR 2 but have good traffic many web sites have PR 3 but low traffic , i can show you some web sites ..main thing is QUALITY as POW.WOW said ....then make good contents and proper tabling ............BEST OF LUCK

Yes. I agree with all of you. Content quality is a key factor on PR.
Quality means more happy visitors (with high probabilities of coming back)… and more visitors mean more traffic.
But the question is how to start…

Well, as everybody said, backlinks help a lot.
You can find some free directory services on the web but paid ones really make the difference.

If you are starting from scratch I recommend to take a look at a Free backlinks list at < link drop removed >
and submit your URL to recommended ones.

Also you can go to <removed> to get a little more traffic to start your site.

Remember… There is no recipe to increase traffic. But there are some key factors that help a lot.
