On one of my sites which has a forum, when i checked the google backlinks it listed some backlinks from some of the forum threads within my site ?

I just wondered why it does this ? is this backlink as good as any other backlink even though its from within the site itself ?

yes it could be, actually if you already see that the Google had count it as your backlinks then it create good benefits to you site.

Backlinks is still backlinks. It would still benefit you even if it's from your site.
