I have a problem with my ad that was launched just recently, Google was not showing it. Did I miss something here? Please advice. Thanks.

Are you talking about adsense or adwords?

From his context, it's most probably that he's talking about AdWords. What are you doing to check if your ad is getting displayed if I may ask?

If your ads are not being shown then Check Quality Score and bidding options.

If your ads aren’t showing, it’s possible that the combination of your keyword’s Quality Score and CPC bid may not be high enough to be competitive with those of other advertisers. In an ad auction, ads with best Quality Score and CPC bid combination have a higher ad rank.

Also, check your quality score that includes:

Keyword Relevance

Landing Page Quality

Landing page load time

Thanks

I have put together a list to refer to any time a client may ask "Why aren't my ads showing on Google?" It could be any one of these reasons, some are controllable, some are not.

1. Daily budget has been spent for that campaign - ads will start up again promptly at midnight if not on an time slotted ad schedule.

2. Ad is on "Standard Rotation" that may show every other Google search (hit refresh on your browser). Campaigns can switch it to "Accelerated" but will typically be "clicked out" for the day much faster.

3. Ad is not on the first page (click "More Sponsored Links ").

4. Keyword was deleted or inactive (minimum bid requirement not met).

5. The maximun cost-per-click (CPC) is higher than the daily budget (although Google usually catches this before allowing it.)

6. The campaign was scheduled to end on a given date and has.

7. Missing credit card information (must be there to start showing ads).

8. Ad is disapproved, either for grammar, trademarks, symbol usage, and needs to changed and resubmitted.

9. The search was made outside target area (if campaigns were geo-targeted).

10. The campaign or adgroup was paused or deleted.

It might be possible that your ad does not follow the submitting rule of that particular website.

If your ads are not appearing on search engine or search engine partner websites then its clkear that you are not able to check the impressions and clicks for your ads. If this is happening then check your campaign setting, target audience and geographic. There may be reason that your disapproved due to avoiding the guidelines so check the ads, their Landing Page URL and Destination URL and then observe it for 1 or 2 hours, i am sure you can see your ads.
