Ok it is normal for a website owner to be focused on online marketing etc...But is off line traditional tactics a non factor in making your website known by the public, after all the same poeple you see on the street spend some time in front of computer screen?

So what are the tips that work when going off line with your website?

going offline...get posted articles in magazines with ure URL. business cards handed out to people who might be interested. if you've got quals, running courses in languages / programs are useful ways of promoting yourself. going to groups of people with like interests. getting business cards in the right places to be taken (ie library desks, lots of geek-type people in libraries) all good places to advertise. most of website marketing is online though, the basics : good search ranking for good keywords = sales $$$
