By this time you must all know about Stumbleupon is a bookmarking system that can mean great traffic to you website.
I did a little math, figure out that if you get about 50 friends and 50 votes you can increase your daily traffic by a couple thousand uniques a day!!
What you have to do is really simple, go to stumbleupon and create a free account in a matter of minutes.
Vote for your site and some of your pages and you will see immediately traffic coming in, thats the way stuble works for newcomers.
Afterthat you will receive 100 unique per day only for this sign up as i did, there where days that i received over 2000 unique only for signing up and having good site content.
Why is that you gona ask => because people where voting for my site and stubmle found out that it was good. Now im receiving over 2000 per day from it but i can use more.
Imagine what we can achieve if we vote for oneanothers site!!
So after all this lets get to the real deal, follow the below steps:
1) Find my account here: http://trichnosis.stumbleupon.com/
a) Push the "i like them" thumb up button when you are in my account page so i get a review, the more friends the more traffic for your site is something like a trust system like google search engine and links.
b) Add me as a friend, its the same as above - we are maximizing exposure
2) Go to my site here: English Information
and and push the thumb up button as step 2a) so i get my site to be high rated.
For keywords use: english information health travel biography internet technology
3) Post here your account and site so i can do the same, me and every one that reads this post! (if you prefer email me the details)
p.s None of as can cheat because in stuble - your friends topic you can see who has vote for you, so its 100% safe for cheating!
THATS WAS IT - THE END
So simple

For starters, I happen to have a site that has been stumbled upon repeatedly (anywhere from 3-4 digits' worth of traffic per day.)
As a result, I can say that you are completely, unequivocally, and totally full of crap, and such manipulation is the reason social networking sites will fail (or succeed if they can counter it.)
True SMO is surprisingly simple...build a site worth linking to, tell the right people about it, and let them do the work for you.
I've never downloaded the toolbar.
I've never submitted my own sites.
I've never signed up for an account.
And I'm fine. This is cheating...I don't care how you put it.

I'm not quite sure what stumbleupon is. And it sounds as if people really disagree with you. what is it that makes it cheating though? Just curious

Angelosanto: www.stumbleupon.com (also referred to as StumbleUpon) is a social bookmarking site of sorts whereby people "stumble upon" a site they like and share it with others. The more people that like a site, the more it will get "stumbled upon".
I think there's a toolbar for it too, but I don't participate as a user myself. It's just my #2 traffic source behind big G and I did nothing for it.
trichnosis, as far as your comments go:
1) I've never exchanged a social bookmark or done anything of that sort in my life, and I would bet that travelagent hasn't either. It's a waste of time.
2) I don't care how many people are doing something, and it's really not relevant to the morality of the activity anyway. Lots of people break into houses every day. Does that make it right?
As far as responding privately, that won't happen. When it comes to spamming and manipulation, you'd better be prepared to deal with it publicly. If I didn't make comments like this, someone else would have. So don't blame me or lash out because you're trying to cheat a system and you got called out on it. That's your fault, not mine.

del.icio.us tag exchanges are also cheating. If you are gaming a system for your own gains it's cheating.
stumble upon, del.icio.us and Digg were never designed to help webmasters get traffic that they didn't deserve, they were designed to show people content that other people thought was good.
By doing this you are devaluing what the sites are about. Not to mention taking exposure away from people who create good content that deserves traffic.
Like Adam, I have had pages on stumble upon, And also slashdot. I didn't do anything to make this happen apart from spend time and effort creating something that lot of people thought was good.
If people spent as much time building a quality site as they spent trying to think up ways of gaming a system they would probably have a site good enough to get stumbled on it's own merit.

So let me see if I understand? - You're saying Stumble is build on a trust system.
- You're asking for our help in betraying their trust
- You don't see any moral problems with this?
Trichnosis, I like you, and I think you're smarter than that.

Okay, I have to disagree with you, Stox. Building a quality site, or good content at all, requires skill, time, attention, and isn't easy. I don't think it's something just anyone is capable of. I think that's why we see so many threads like this.

I agree and I disagree with both st0x and the n00b.
I tend to think that anyone is capable of building a quality site IF they devote the time and energy required to it and IF the reward to effort ratio is high enough.
The problem is that most people don't want to spend the time really learning the craft of web design, nor devoting the time and energy to acquiring the skill that is required, nor pushing their own mental boundaries and improving as people and coders.
It also doesn't help that people are on different levels as far as tech-savviness, cognitive abilities, spatial abilities, and artistic abilities are concerned (not to mention the other zillion abilities a true professional needs.)
In some cases, I can see where the time factor would be greater than that of a "quick fix SMO approach" and in some cases (e.g. st0x and myself) I can see where the time factor would be less than that.
Now...having said all of that, gaming sites such as StumbleUpon, Digg, Del.icio.us, etc. is not a tenable solution. All that happens is that artificial popularity is designated to resources that don't deserve it, and those resources eventually get exposed as the fraudulent resources that they are.

Hi Learning Newbie ;
I'm repeating that again . this is trust system . i'm offering another option to the people on this forum .
If people like my site or trust my site , they will stumble my site .
If they dont like my site or dont trust my site , they will not stumble my sites.
Is there any difference finding from search engine or find from a forum ? If they like my site , they will stumble my site .
The name of this is offering an option to the people . not cheating anythink or betraying anythink .
You will see the sites , you will like it or not .
What is wrong on this ?
--------------
stox or any mod;
can you close this thread pls ? i dont desire offering an option to the people !
My aim is offering an option to the people on this thread !
As I see , A webmaster ethic discussion has started on this forum with help of ADAM Web Design.
I think this is the wrong forum for this discussion .
Thanks everybody

* sighs *
I love when people get trapped in their own BS. They come up with some great new system to boost their own ranking, then when they get shown why it's unethical, come up with an insane, incoherent rant and either ask people to stop talking or to get the thread closed outright.
Can't people just say when they're wrong anymore?

LOL -- I agree with you; don't you just love it when these people are blatanly exposed, yet others who think they're doing something great and fantastic, actually uphold them???
...shaking my head, wondering what the hell are these "Internet Wanna-Be's" thinking!!!
