Anyone ever used http://www.subscriberdrive.com ?

Seems like a good way to get more newsletter subscribers.

I'm not going to try it just yet, but if one of you do, please post here and let us know how it is working.

Hi Tim,

I am currently using SubscriberDrive on my site to get more subscribers. However, I don't use pop-ups or pop-unders on my index/home page, so I don't get the amount of subscribers that others do get by putting the code on the index page. I have received four subscribers since the end of December. This is probably not indicative of those sites that has the coding on the index page. My listing has been viewed 1200+ times according to their statistics.

But, it does work!

Dave

Hey DMo224!

Welcome to the forums and thanks for joining!

And...

Thanks for the input. The main reason I have not tried it yet, is because I can't with listpower (doesnot have just a subscribe to URL). I want to change to an email list CGI script...

What do use for your lists??

I have been using two programs that I like for publishing our newsletter. One is GroupMail and the other is PostMaster Suite. You can use the online services that they offer or use the PC version. I really like PostMaster Suite. It will manage all the subscribes and unsubscribes and can be used for deleting bounces or invalid emails addresses. It uses Microsoft Access for the database. I just fried my Access, so I'm doing it manually until I get it up and running again.

When I find a program that I like, I usually become an affiliate or rep for them so I can sell it from my newsletter or site. Might as well recoup some of the money spent.

I'm also a member of a couple of ezine co-ops. If you want to ad some subscribers to your newsletter, there are several that are worth checking out. The bad thing about them is that you definitely have to add new subscribers manually since that new subscriber will get one free ad in the bargain.

Again, I didn't publish the links because I am an affiliate and I don't want to make this an advertisement forum. If you have questions, I guess it's ok to say write me and I'll let you know about them.

Thanks for the welcome. I've enjoyed reading so far.

Dave
