Not sure if this is a complete success story but it seems like we're on our way.
Basically, we're both a year removed from high school. We went to the same technical high school where we studied web development. During our senior year of high school we entered the Business Professionals of America Web Design competition for a website called ProjectDallas.Net. We ended up placing first in Massachusetts and third at the national level. Not too bad.
Anyways, after the competition ended, we decided (while still in our seniour year) to start a web design business, Web2Studios. We got our first client by walking down Main Street, and after experimenting with college for a year, have decided to focus on our business full time. We've even recently started a small hosting company in which we host our clients and customers we've gained from our Adwords campaigns (about 55 clients so far) and it only seems to be getting better.
Two weeks ago was when we actually called up our schools and withdrew. Seems to be like a good decision, I hope! Has anyone else here found success without school?
