Well it's not socialism per se, but certainly socialistic. I don't think that would be bad think there Wolf - look at countries like Denmark, Sweden, Norway - they have the highest standards of living on the planet thanks to their social democracies.

In the UK the govt. bailout of the banks means that they have a controlling stake in a couple of banks over there. I'm waiting for them to sieze control!

He has sent millions of Americans stimulaus checks whereas all we received from Bush was dissapointment and war declerations. Obama is also currently attempting to establish free healthcare for the masses, something which is a common right and not a luxury in Europe and many Latin American countries. Yet the fear mongering and somewhat mentally inept republicans (as usual) are invoking absurd lies to hamper his efforts. America spends more on it's health care than any other developed country and yet we have a lower average lifespan, hospital survival rate and likelihood of getting treatment, than many of these countries.

The republicans are making this health care reform seem like a bad thing for the people, using terms like "Hitler" and "socialism". Talk about biting the hand that's trying to feed it or in this case trying to give it free health care. How absurd.

Seriously, republicanism seems to be the party of emotionally revved up people who in the face of their zealousy, loose all common sense and priority. To them defending "concepts of marriage" and microscopic cells is what defines morality and mass murder via war, depriving basic rights from the poor in their own country, influencing major decisions based on the silliness that is religion - they see absolutely nothing wrong with any of that.
