Has anyone setup ffmpeg on the server to conver VIDs to .FLA files?

I'm looking for a way to convert videos to .FLV (Excuse the title) once they have been uploaded to my server.

I can't seem to figure out ffmpeg.
Anyone out there?

flv means flash video

You need to run a ffmpeg command that converts them. You can use PHP to execute the command.

I have done something similar in Linux you can call commands or run files with a web server I haven't done this in a while but I made a file that runs commands which uses the terminal in Linux to run commands and after the commands where ran the out put folder is then renamed and finally copied to the appropriate web server folder.
