If you code php every day during half a year (that's enough) suddenly you realize that it will be much faster to write your own script for the functionality like this than to look for the one. And it will not only fit your needs better but also will be highly extendable and customizable since you know where to find what.

solomongaby: It wants me to spread some TK around, but I just have to say roflmao - you don't want to work for free?

mtishetsky: Good point. I think a lot of people don't realize just how quickly one can learn programming with a sufficiently logical mind. If you do a little bit of math, you realize that in a college semester there are roughly 16 weeks at 3 hours (scheduled) class time per week and 6 hours of HW per week (according to the people at the top, not your teacher) for 9x16 = 144 hours which is less than a month of 40 hour work weeks. Two semesters and you're still at under 2 months and you've got the equiv of a year's PHP education. This presumes, of course, that you have the gumption to do the studying and at the same level of rigor.

Next thing you know, someone will call you a capitalist

I'm going to put my capitalist booty to bed now so that I can get up in 3 hours and start banging my own head against my monitors.

wogazm: If you do create this, will you open source it like the WP people did with WP? It will truly be a great experience in development and take you down the road to great PHP programming. -- Never give up hope.
