Hello all,

Didn't know where to post this (either the Java(just noticed this doesn't exist) or PHP section).

I'm creating a website that has a log in system for users. I was thinking about which language i should use to do this. So i just wanted to ask a couple of Q's:

1) Is PHP used mostly for making log in systems that connect to databases on the web?

2)Would you recommend using Java instead of PHP to do this?

I ask because i can do this task using Java but i have to improve my PHP skills to do this task. But i noticed that most websites use PHP...?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

For something as simple as a login script PHP is the way to go.

I think whatever you feel most comfortable to work with. I don't know Java, but PHP is certainly capable of doing such tasks with more functionality beyond. PHP is an easy language to learn and it is remarked as being the easiest to work with in conjunction of databases (MySQL in particular).
