I've recently been doing development on this website, It used a CMS system that I am in the process of developing but i actually ran across one problem. I want to auto generate the <meta> tags, description and title. Currently in the admin panel you can only create the page name, the link name and content(which is tinmce wysiwyg editor) once you add a page you can choose if you want to add it to the menu. What i would like to know is, if theres a way to pull content from what was written in the page(wyswyg) section to build the description.

For example, is there a php command i dont know about that will pull the main content from the database and strip the html tags? some function i dont know about? Right now I have to manually put in the title and description tags through the page adding scheme(because i dont want the same title for every page) but my contractor believes the client will not want to do this for every page.
