I'm sure there is a term for this but I'm not familiar with it.
So, you know how Wordpress (or any number of other platforms) can display a page with a certain URL but there is no directory structure for that? How is that done? If someone comes in with domain.com/this-is-a-page, how does the script accept that and turn it into a page? Or when it loads a new page, how is a different URL put in the address bar?
Thanks for helping me understand! I'm slowly learning PHP and this is one of those things I don't get and not sure how to ask Google to get the right answer.
