is there a such thing?

I am still a beginning-learner, and there are some things I would like to do that I don't know how to do.

I think it would be cool if there was a drag-and-drop PHP website creator.

WYSIWYG Editors can only be done with a client side script. So you'll have to use Javascript or Flash or Java.

Dreamweaver has some WYSIWYG-like features for PHP. Never used them, so not certain how they work, but it's there.

Are you talking about a WYSIWYG coded in PHP, or a WYSIWYG used for PHP?

I don't think either one exists.

"...a WYSIWYG used for PHP..."

That would be AWESOME

If it's not out yet, I think it'll happen eventually with the advent of web2.0 into web3.0

looks like a heavily-untapped market for some Programmer (if that is what you call the people who make software/programs)

I've used a few of Dreamweaver's W.Y.S.W.Y.G features for PHP and they seem ok, however they could be a a lot more better.

I think this is the future of web-programming. This is one hellova' untapped market right here, if it does not exist.

in my opinion

I think the future of programming is more refined frameworks, like Rails did for Ruby. Stuff like what Dreamweaver did will continue to develop, but I can't see it getting very complicated since programming takes depth of understanding, much like any other sort of coding.

It's quite possibly out their, the wysiwyg could render the code based on variables. But it would be a bit iffy (The configuration it renders from could easily change on the server).

If you want to see your code before uploading try XAMPP, it's a server emulator kinda thing...it lets you run PHP/MySQL on your local machine.
