I am creating a local site for my town to give people info on the town and have a lot of cool features and I was just going to go through and do strictly html, but then I figured with all the updating I would be doing would be so much easier to go with a CMS. I used Xoops years ago and I like it pretty well; however, their site seems to be down and I dont know if they have the modules I am needing. So I am considering switching to another CMS.
What I need is basically something that is easy to use. I need a system that will allow to to put news on the home page, maybe a weather module, and allow me to create my own pages for other content. Easy to modify template would be good aswell.
Now comes the tricky part, finding a module to fit me needs. I am wanting to do a local movie review section that will allow users to submit a ratings and comments to movies that I can list. I would like to have a link that will take you to the main reviews page and then have thumbnails for the different movies. They could click on the thumb nails and go to a page about the movie, and then have a place for comments and ratings below. Thats a main feature I want to have.
Another feature I want to have could probably use the same module. Local business reviews.
The CMS system does not have to have member registration/users, i would prefer if it did not allow user signup and was open to the public but either or would be fine with me.
I hope you can help me
