I have been asked to work alongside another member of staff at work (a special needs school) to design and run a display system for our students.

Basically we need to have a display system our students can use via a touch screen plasma in our entrance hall - they will use it to find out their daily timetable, which of the senior management team are on site that day, if there are any visitors to the school that day and also a media display system.

The first thing I would like to get working would be the timetables - anyone know of a script that could do this?

I was thinking of using a calendar script but need to find one where it highlights which option is the current one, so it will show the whole day but have the current time slot highlighted (if you see what I mean)

I linked both of the above directly to the calendar scripts. You'll find a lot on each site, some free scripts and some paid. Free probably means you need to put a little work into the script, but some free scripts will work well without much work.

I would think there will be some where the current time is highlighted, but I couldn't say for certain. Most will highlight the current day within the month, but I'm not sure if highlighting the current time within the day is standard. That might need to be custom coded into the script.
