Imbedding PHP into HTML

Talkupation: Dajjal is on a distinguished road
I have the web page shown below and want to include some PHP script in the area refered to as bottom right window. I have tried putting <?php ?> tags in there instead of the HTML I have at the moment but nothing appears. The file is saved as type .php I hope that you can help me solve this problem.
