Imagine you wrote thousands and thousands of code lines. Now you have a beta project. How do you solve all the bugs (some you dont even know they exist) without taking a whole year. Im considering you're doing it all by yourself without anybody's help, in resume: a 100% lonely project.

you make checks at all parts where you know you need security [some forms or extern variables] and try to see your site like a hacker

I make the debug on the local with: error_reporting(E_ALL); and I check every page and every form. It will not take one year... just 2-3 days. This part is a part of the developers work... the testPart

Whenever I debug, I always put echo's everywhere to let me know what's happening. That way, if the site is acting how I want it to act, I know exactly what it's doing.

You can't really solve bugs you don't know exist. I'd suggest getting some people to test your script for you. They'll use it in ways that you may not have imagined and in the process, they'll discover things that you wouldn't have on your own. Then, as you discover each error, fix it and send it out for testing again. When you have no more errors, or at least very few errors and no critical errors, you can pull yourself out of beta.

Thats a major problem...im really not very good to find people visiting my products, having them testing them would be even harder
Also is harder to make tests on paid products without them stealing your ideas <.<

Know a company called apple? They asked a guy to test one of their computer projects, the result was Microsoft and Apple got bankrupt.

The same happened to a garage, 2 dudes were sent to clean it up, the result was google and the garage owner got thrown away.

I'd suggest getting some people to test your script for you.

this is a "must"... you will not see ALL your mistakes [that's sure]
