Hi,

I have written a news script however since I don't want this displayed in the initial page I want to create a summary of the news to fit in a small area. The area I'm importing the text too can't be stretched in anyway as it will mess up my image map. Anyone know how to do this?

You can take some text out of your script like this:

$smallnews = substr($fullnewstext, 0, 190);
echo $smallnews."..."; 


it will select first 190 chars from the news.
Or use iframe or layers for scrolling your news in the small area.
