My phpbb forum and Nuke site went offline earlier on today, when you try to visit the forum you get the error -

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

When I get this, it usually means the server has gone down and usually sorts itself out, however this time it hasnt.

My nuke site gives me the error -

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: message_die() in /var/www/html/html/db/db.php on line 88

How can I fix these and how serious is it?

It just sounds like the function hasn't been finalised or some previous code. Could you show us 5 lines before and after of your code?

If your forum is on the same website as the link in your signature, then your site seems to be down, probably a server problem. You can try checking your dns here: http://www.checkdns.net/quickcheck.aspx

Yeah the sites that have gone down are the one in my signiture. The server is online, and my Bo Avid site is working fine, its just everything using a DB.

I think the server went offline yesterday, and since its came back online, the sites using a DB havent been connecting to the DB so I've been getting the error. I thought it might sort itself out but both sites have been giving these errors for about a day now.

What should I do to sort it out?
