Based on what I've heard about the 7D and how it's going to be priced, if you can afford the 7D, you might want to spend the extra few hundred dollars and step up to the 5D Mark II. That also depends on what you're going to be using it for, though. The HD video is definitely a nice feature that the Mark II lacks...that's why I opted for the Canon Rebel 500D. It's still reasonably priced, but has a more wide range of features (although the CMOS sensor is only 15.1MP, which is still more than enough to produce stunning shots).
