I noticed that Canon are bringing out the 7D, has anyone looked at the specs? I would like to know if people think this camera is a good buy? Thanks

I have been following Canon for a couple on months now, Im looking for a good mid range camera, I really like the 50D but think its missing a couple of things when compared with Nikons D90. I was hoping Canon would release the 60D but they have announced a new line starting with the 7D (a line that sits above the x0D and below the 5D), It looks like a really nice camera.

Based on what I've heard about the 7D and how it's going to be priced, if you can afford the 7D, you might want to spend the extra few hundred dollars and step up to the 5D Mark II. That also depends on what you're going to be using it for, though. The HD video is definitely a nice feature that the Mark II lacks...that's why I opted for the Canon Rebel 500D. It's still reasonably priced, but has a more wide range of features (although the CMOS sensor is only 15.1MP, which is still more than enough to produce stunning shots).
