Before take an outsourcing help, what you really need to consider is the language, culture, time zone differences, or other barrier that may occur. Check everything thoroughly, dont just random-picked for its cheap service or smthin

Benefits of outsourcing:
1) To get skilled expertise at lower cost
2) Time zone advantage
3) Increased productivity and Efficiency
4) Faster and better services

I own software developement company located in Ukraine.

As working on another side I can't tell you that there is also a lot of "benefits" of outsourcing.

Here are the BIGGEST "benefits":
1. It's really hard to find good provider. Why do you think that good developers will work for very cheap money? Do you know that good PHP developers wants $1500-2000 salary? So you need to add extra profit for the company to your price for a good developer. There is no good $5/hour developers!

2. If you hire developer from another country he could be changed during the work process for a bad one (cheaper)

3. Coding culture. Guys we(outsourcing companies and freelancers) can sell you sh#t and you relize that when:
- start to send traffic to the project but your site can't handle even 1000 visitors daily or crashes after 1000 entries in DB
- there is no foolproofing in the code
- you site works only in one version of browser (yours... :-) )
- tons of language mistakes
- tons of mistakes in the work logic

4. We(outsourcing companies and freelancers) ususally take money and dissapear. And get back to you when we need more money.

5. We(outsourcing companies and freelancers) usually do not finish the job. Only do the first milestones and than dissapear because we can't finish the job and fit into the budget (usually because of ****ty code).

6. We(outsourcing companies and freelancers) do not test the work and do not analyze the tasks.

Simply saying there is no cheap work in programming!

There is lot of stories how guy spent $100 and build million dollar start-up.
Thats not truth! You are not that lucky guy!

Do not trust us!!!!

Recheck the work. Document the tasks. Do prototyping before giving the work. Find expert in programming who will help you to find affordable developers and check their work weekly.

Otherwise you'll be foolished and do not get the benefits from outsourcing.

P.S.: Look at my language, I've been working more than 10 year in this business and still can't write well...
