Hi All,
I have a quick question about Commission Based Sales as I am obviously out-of-touch with what people perceive as a good rate of pay/acceptable monetary compensation.
I have a company that sells Stock Reports <URL not relevant to question> to customers around the world. We are looking to introduce a subscription service due to the overwhelming amount of work that the individual stock report scheme is generating. I have no idea of how to proceed with generating "leads"/customers online to use the service.
So using Freelancer, I created an ad which effectively offered 10% (equates to $30) of all revenues generated from each subscription sale and a bonus 100% commission for every 10th subscription sold. We also stated that we were happy to provide an initial advanced payment to show our commitment to the process.
As of 24-hours of posting this freelancer job, we have had no bids. Our job opportunities usually get quite a response within the first few hours but this one does not seem to be generating any interest.
Would anyone have any idea on how we could get interest in performing the required work? Are the commission rates too low? Do people hate working for commission? Should I offer something else? Is the job unrealistic?
Any help in the matter would be appreciated.
Regards,
Nick
