I posted this here since I am not sure if I want to sell anything yet, I felt the marketplace wasn't appropriate to post in. If there is a more suitable section, feel free to move this thread.

I've ran a small gaming and emulation community for nearly two years now, has over three thousand members, a page rank of four, an Alexa rank of 198,524.

Along with that I also have an active Invision Power Boards license, with licenses for both the gallery and blog addons. I also have other paid modifications and themes for the forum that I've purchased with money from my own pocket.

Ad revenue is nothing to gloat over, but has started doing a bit better lately compared to the past.

I've poured a lot of sweat, effort, and hard work into trying to get the community going, it already has quite a decent amount of back links. I am continuing to expand the amount of back links to the domain and forum itself, there is even some affiliations in the works with other related communities.

The reason I am considering to sell is I don't have the ability or knowledge to make the community take off. Despite there being quite a bit of back links, traffic to the domain, and several members I can't for the life of me get any decent activity on the forum.

It's become a very time consuming venture for me, if something were to really go wrong I wouldn't have the knowledge to fix it or recover. I really need to get out and get away from it all, by doing what is best for me.

It's become more of a burden for me to manage, even more so since I have no coding or design knowledge whatsoever. I also have a couple small college loans I need to pay off, and my PC needs new hardware and minor repairs.

I am interested to know how much my domain is worth, what someone is willing to pay for the domain and the software that resides on the domain. I need information from those who have bought domains and full websites in the past on the estimated worth of my domain with all of the software.

If you need any information, be sure to let me know.

The website is located in my signature, to better help determine the worth of the domain and content and what anyone would be willing to pay.

As mentioned I am only looking for estimates for what someone is willing to pay, actually going through with a sale has yet to be decided and will be posted in the marketplace when I am ready.

Sorry to do this, but I'm giving this thread a quick bump back onto the first page since I am in need of opinions and estimates.

If the estimated worth is fairly high, I might consider selling to pay of a couple of my student loans, and purchase some new hardware for my PC which I am in need of.

Before I walk out the door for an appointment, I just wanted to quickly give this one last small bump to garner any replies.

Right now I am just interested in the estimated worth of my website/community with all of the paid software.

I need estimates from anyone who has bought communities, websites, or domains in the past on how much they would pay or feel it is worth.

You have a nice community there. 3K+ is a pretty **** good amount of people.

Lets see, a domain is what $10, IPB license is around $100? All the mods skins, another $100? Are you selling just the site files, domain, AND the hosting? or without the hosting?

I'm just looking for estimates right now. I'm just interested in finding out the estimated worth of the domain and the paid software that resides on the domain, based on the rank in search engines, existing member base, back links etc...

Depending on how much the estimate is, will determine if I will consider selling it or not.

Sadly the hosting does not come with it, due to current finances everything is hosted on a shared account.

I also won't entrust selling it to someone who later down the road decides to sell it to Crowdgather, members including myself have had nothing but problems with this corporation/entity at an emulation forum that was bought by them.
